Which course should I start with?
A short guide to picking between the Aalima, Mubaligah, Deeniyat and short courses, based on the time you can give and where you are starting from.
The most common question we are asked is where to begin. The honest answer is that it depends on two things: how much time you can give each week, and whether you can already read Urdu.
If you want the complete scholarly path and can commit for the long term, the Aalima Course is the four-year programme. It covers Arabic and Persian grammar, Tafseer, Hadith, Aqeedah and Fiqh, and requires the ability to read Urdu and a minimum age of twelve.
If you want the essential subjects but cannot commit to four years, the Mubaligah Course covers them in one year, structured simply. If your aim is to practise your daily obligations correctly rather than to study formally, the Deeniyat Course covers Aqeedah, purification, prayer, fasting and the rulings needed in everyday life over six months.
If you are starting from the very beginning, two short courses are designed as entry points. Namaz & Taharah is a one-month practical course on Wudu, Ghusl, Tayammum and Salah. Urdu Reading & Writing is three months, and opens up Qur'an translation and Islamic books for everything you study afterwards.
If you are still unsure, message us with your age, what you can already read, and how many hours a week you have. We will suggest the course that fits rather than the longest one.
